About patio and concrete repair

Concrete, or cement as most people call it, does not fail evenly. A patio cracks at one corner, a walkway lifts where a root got under it, a step crumbles at the nose while the rest is sound. Most of it can be repaired or replaced a section at a time, and the first thing worth knowing is whether the problem is the slab or the ground underneath it - because resurfacing concrete that is moving only buys a year.

Common questions

Patio and Concrete Repair questions we get asked

Does the whole patio have to come out?

Often not. Concrete is usually poured in sections, and a cracked or sunken section can frequently be taken out and replaced while the rest stays where it is. What decides it is the ground underneath and how far the cracking has travelled, which is what we come out to look at.

Will a repair match the existing concrete?

Not exactly, and anybody who tells you otherwise is guessing. New concrete cures lighter than concrete that has weathered for years, and it settles towards it over a season or two without ever being identical. We will tell you how close it is likely to get before you decide, and where a match matters more than the money, resurfacing the whole area is the honest answer instead.

Is my job too small?

No job is too small or too large for us to tackle. A good part of our work is the jobs other contractors would rather not take, and customers tell us that is why they call us back.

How much does an estimate cost?

Nothing. Estimates are free and there is no obligation. Call us or send the form and we will arrange a time to come out, look at the job properly and give you a price in writing.

Does sending photos help?

A lot. Photos let us judge the scope and the materials before we arrive, which makes the estimate more accurate and sometimes saves a visit altogether. Text or email them over and we will factor them in.
